Lazarus Gallery Show
October 10, 2025
Goldstein Library
The Lazarus Gallery exhibition features the inspiring work of the 2028 Lazarus Engaged Learning Assistantship Cohort. Through creative collaboration with local non-profit organizations, each project reflects a deep commitment to community engagement and social impact. The exhibition explores vital issues such as education, housing insecurity, and the power of collective support. This exhibition is made possible through the generous support of The Rudi Lazarus Foundation.
The Lazarus Engaged Learning Assistantship recognizes the importance of active citizenship, and the opportunity to pair service in the community with professional development. Lazarus Scholars go through extensive training about various causes, themes in service, leadership, and diversity, and work to engage their non-profit partners in a holistic way. This four-year program is designed to support students in their exploration of non-profit community partners; building of relationships with specific organizations; development of a creative and sustainable solution for a community challenge or initiative; and reflection of their roles as an artist in their local community.
