Wading Ashore: Asian Student Alliance Exhibition

Wading Ashore is an exhibition presented by Ringling College’s Asian Student Alliance exploring the experiences of identity, belonging, heritage, and cultural connection. The title evokes the experience of moving between worlds—of navigating unfamiliar waters while carrying the memories, traditions, and stories that shape who we are.

The exhibition invites student artists to reflect on the many ways Asian and Asian American identities are experienced, expressed, and understood. Through painting, illustration, photography, sculpture, installation, and other forms of visual storytelling, participating artists explore themes of family, migration, place, memory, tradition, and the evolving relationship between cultural heritage and contemporary life.
