Creatures, Character, and Curious Places

Each Spring, Freshman Illustration students take on the challenge of a 3-D design course. In this class, students design and ultimately create, by hand, a three-dimensional world. Initially they develop two separate conceptual pitches. These are presented to the class and professor for critique, and final approval. The chosen concept is built around a general storyline, centering on a set of three characters: a Hero character,a Sidekick character, and the Villain character. An accompanying environment is also created using any variety of materials.
