Illest of Ill: Out of This World

The Galleries at Ringling College are proud to present Illest of Ill, the annual juried exhibition celebrating the creativity, imagination, and innovation emerging from the College’s acclaimed Illustration program. Organized by the student-led Illest of Ill club, this highly anticipated showcase brings together exceptional work from Ringling’s illustration students, offering a dynamic glimpse into the next generation of visual storytellers.

This year’s theme, Out of This World, invites artists to push beyond the familiar and explore the limitless possibilities of imagination. From distant galaxies and alien worlds to surreal landscapes, cosmic adventures, and entirely invented realities, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a universe of extraordinary visual narratives. Spanning a range of media, techniques, and artistic approaches, each work offers a unique perspective on what it means to venture beyond the boundaries of our world.

More than a showcase of technical skill, Illest of Ill: Out of This World celebrates storytelling, experimentation, and the fearless creative spirit of Ringling’s illustration community.
