Ligature XVII: Tactile

Ligature XVII: Tactile is the annual student-led juried exhibition celebrating the creative possibilities of typography at Ringling College. Bringing together work from students across all majors, the exhibition explores type as both language and visual form, inviting artists and designers to consider how typography can be experienced through texture, material, movement, and touch.

This year’s theme, Tactile, encourages experimentation beyond the screen, transforming letters and words into physical, sensory experiences. Through a diverse range of approaches and media, the exhibition reveals the expressive, unexpected, and deeply human possibilities of type.
