8th Annual Portraits of Courage: Red, White, and Blue
Opens November 16, 2026

Ringling College of Art and Design is honored to present the eighth annual installment of Profiles of Courage: Red, White, and Blue—a powerful exhibition honoring the courage, sacrifice, resilience, and humanity of American veterans.
This year’s exhibition brings together painted portraits created by Ringling College students, offering an opportunity to recognize veterans from across generations and branches of service. Each portrait provides a personal connection to the individual depicted, inviting viewers to look beyond the uniform and encounter the people, experiences, and stories behind their service.
Profiles of Courage: Red, White, and Blue continues Ringling College’s tradition of using the arts to honor those who have served our country. Through the students’ interpretations, these portraits become acts of recognition and remembrance, preserving personal histories while celebrating the enduring values of courage, dedication, and service.
More than a collection of portraits, the exhibition creates a space for connection and reflection. Red, White, and Blue invites audiences to pause, engage with the stories of our veterans, and consider the profound and lasting impact of their service. It is a tribute to those who have served—and a testament to the power of art to honor, remember, and bring generations together.
